Cookbook Club virtual meet-up: Sunday 29th September, 8.30 - 9.30am
Seasonal cookbooks: the cookbooks that guide us through the culinary year
A digital meet-up for us all to share thoughts and book recommendations on September’s cookbook club theme: seasonal cookbooks. Our discussion is going to be about the genre, rather than a particular book.
The format is basically like any other book club gathering where the members share thoughts, ideas and opinions - just with food and cookbooks at its heart (and therefore even better). We want this to be an hour of lovely, relaxed, insightful cookbook conversation.
When and where
On: Sunday 29th September, 8.30am - 9.30am BST
We are meeting online via Zoom. This is the link to use: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/86956571442
The session will be recorded and (probably) made available for the wider The Kitchen Bookshelf community to watch back. If you would rather it wasn't, then please do let me know.
Send me a message if you would like to join in (paid subscribers only - no need to re-register if you already have):
What are we talking about?
The meet-up is focussed on this month’s cookbook club theme: seasonal cookbooks. So we’ll be talking about the cookbooks we love that guide us through the culinary year.
What do I need to do to prepare?
It is not essential to have cooked something to talk about. This meet-up is for sharing thoughts about books more broadly rather than a particular book or set of dishes.
What will the format be?
I will do general hello’s and talk a little about the theme. Then it is over to you. I will be encouraging lots of open conversation so please do come with ideas of books you love and why. If there’s a book or author you really want to make sure you get the chance to talk about then you can let me know that ahead of time.
Who is coming?
This meet-up is only for paid subscribers to The Kitchen Bookshelf. Places are limited to ensure we are not too large a group for comfortable conversation.
Send me a message if you would like to register for a place:
I’m really looking forward to seeing you there.
